Yes. There are various whitening methods available, ranging from over-the-counter kits to professional treatments, and their effectiveness can vary significantly. Professional treatments use a higher concentration and yield better results.
When used as directed, professional whitening does not harm tooth enamel. Excessive or improper use of some products can lead to temporary sensitivity or gum irritation — which is why a professional, controlled treatment matters.
As often as every 4–6 weeks. That said, even the most avid stainer wouldn't need to whiten more often than every 3–4 months, provided they brush and floss regularly.
We always recommend the 90-minute option so your chair is reserved should you want to complete it. If you're satisfied at 60 minutes, we only charge for services rendered.
From start to finish, plan to spend about 2 hours completing your appointment.
Results typically last 6 months to one year, depending on your lifestyle, after-care, and maintenance.
No restrictions, only recommendations. To protect your investment, we suggest avoiding dark-colored foods, beverages, and smoking for 24 hours. We know it's challenging, so we've come up with a cheat code for you when you come in.
If plaque is present, a deep cleaning a few days prior will improve your results. Otherwise, just brush and floss beforehand — the cleaner the surface of your teeth, the better your results. After booking, you'll receive a confirmation email with more details on how to make the most of your visit.

Teeth whitening falls under a cosmetic category, so it isn't currently covered by insurance — but here at the Lab it's always affordable even without it. We gladly accept HSA and FSA; just let us know at checkout so we can print a physical receipt for you.
